Bournemouth Borough Council & Borough of Poole - Building Schools For The Future

Wave 6 Schools

The Bournemouth and Poole schools in Wave 6 of the national BSF programme are:

• Ashdown Technology College, Poole
• The Bishop of Winchester VA School, Bournemouth - Ministerial approval has now been received for The Bishop of Winchester VA School to become The Bishop of Winchester Academy from 1st September 2010.  The Bishop of Winchester VA School will close on 31st August 2010 and reopen on 1st September 2010 as an Academy. 
• Glenmoor School, Bournemouth
• Kings High School, Bournemouth - Bournemouth Borough Council's Cabinet have approved the closure of Kings High School on 31st August 2010, to reopen on 1st September 2010 as The Bourne Academy.  For more information visit:  http://www.theproposedacademyfornorthbournemouth.org
• Montacute Special School, Poole
• Oakmead College of Technology, Bournemouth
• Rossmore Community College, Poole - Borough of Poole Council have also agreed the closure of Rossmore Community College on 31st August 2010 to reopen as St. Aldhelm's Academy on 1st September 2010. For more information on the Academy visit: http://www.staldhelmsacademy.org  
• Winchelsea School, Poole
• Winton Arts & Media College, Bournemouth
