Key Dates

We are working to the Government's national timetable for Wave 6 BSF programmes.  The key deadlines are:

Phase 1: Deliver part one of a Strategy for Change (SfC) that describes the education vision for Bournemouth and Poole and details what education transformation we are proposing - completed September 2008.

Deliver part 2 of the SfC which details how we will deliver the education transformation proposed in SfC part 1 - completed February 2009.

Phase 2: Deliver an Outline Business Case (OBC) for the schools to be delivered as part of the BSF project including condition surveys of existing buildings - completed Winter 2009.

Phase 3: Prepare Bournemouth and Poole for the joint procurement through Partnerships for Schools', "National Contractors' Framework" - currently being completed (Spring 2010).

Phase 4: Selection of the supply chain of contractors and other suppliers - to be completed Winter 2010, following announcement of preferred Panel Member.

Phase 5:  Construction of sample scheme, Ashdown Technology College - to begin early 2011.
