Proposed Academy for Bishop of Winchester VA School - public consultation  

A public consultation will take place between 6th July and 30th September 2009 on proposals to transform The Bishop of Winchester VA School into an Academy.  The Academy would open 1st September 2010 following closure of the existing school on 31st August 2010.  It would eventually grow to offer 750 places to pupils aged 11-16 plus a 200 place Sixth Form.  You can find out more by downloading the following documents:

Proposed Academy at Kings High School - public consultation

A public consultation will take place between 11th May 2009 – 26th June 2009 on proposals to transform Kings High School into an Academy.  The Academy would open 1st September 2010 following closure of the existing school on 31st August 2010.  It would eventually grow to offer 900 places to pupils aged 11-16 plus a 6th Form.  The Academy is also proposed as the first Bournemouth school to benefit from a substantial rebuild under the Building Schools for the Future programme.  You can find out more by downloading the following documents:

A public meeting will be held at Kings High School at 6.30pm on Tuesday 19th May 2009, providing an opportunity to ask questions of representatives from the Council and the Sponsors of the proposed Academy.

 

Proposed Academy at Rossmore Community College - public consultation  

A statutory consultation period is currently underway on the proposals to close Rossmore Community College with effect from 31st August 2010 and to establish in its place an Academy offering education for 1100 pupils between the ages of 12-18.  When the change in age of transfer takes effect in September 2013 the proposed Academy will take pupils between the ages of 11-18.

A public meeting will be held at Rossmore Community College at 6.30pm on Tuesday 5th May 2009, providing an opportunity to ask questions of representatives from the local authority and the Sponsors of the proposed Academy.

 

Public consultation - 6th June-18th July 2008  

Thankyou to everyone who took part in the first round of public consultation at the end of the summer term.  Your views are very important to us and all feedback recieved is now being carefully considered; further consultation will take place in due course, please keep an eye on this website and local press for further details.

 

Extended Services Stakeholder Conference - 9th September 2008

A wide range of representatives from schools, health, leisure, voluntary services, the police and community groups in Bournemouth and Poole attended a BSF Extended Services Conference - a chance to find out more about the BSF programme and discuss the opportunities it may provide for transforming how (and what) extended services are delivered.
